Q: I sliced the top crease of my ring finger knuckle with a soup can lid about 1/2 an inch. I didnt think it was that bad, so i bandaged it up. Now i feel lightheaded and like i keep fading in and out of awareness. I just started taking lexapro too. what is going on, what should i do?
A: I don't think that the Lexapro made the injury worse- chances are its the Lexapro alone unless the sight of blood bothers you so badly that you are feeling like this from seeing your own blood. Call your doctor or pharmacist right away and if neither are available you really should go to the ER because all medications have potential for serious side effects and allergic reactions in some people and feeling lightheaded or having changes in mental status are major red flags for the possibility of s serious problem.
