Q: Sounds a little obvious because I have been typing... lol But for some reason it is only my right index finger that hurts and no others. My middle finger on my left hand hurt yesterday, but its gone now and its switched to my right index finger. Is this a sign of arthritus or just joint-pain? I'm only 17, and I just started typing (daily) about a year ago. Or i'm not getting enough circulation? What's going on?? :X
A: How does it hurt? Aching, throbbing, stinging? Sharp or dull pain? Continuous or intermittent? Is there any swelling of the joints? Does your whole finger hurt or just a part of it and if so, which part? If you add some details I will be better able to help you, as there are numerous causes for finger/joint pain including arthritis (there are juvenile forms of it, you don't have to be elderly to get it), carpal tunnel, nerve damage, strains, sprains, torn tendons/ligaments, dislocation, and poor circulation.
