Q: Ok, I was in a pre-season football game about 5 days ago and when I tackled somebody my left knee pulled inside on me like it snaped and I heard a pop inside and I was on the ground. When I went to the doctor they said it was a muscle contusion and there was a negative on the x-ray. It's getting better now but I still can't lock my knee and the outside (I think ACL?) and the inside part (maybe PCL? the opposite side of ACL) still pinches sometimes when I walk a little bit, but now I can jog for like 3 yards but it feels weird. I can put full weight on it for about half a minute. I ice, use a brace, and use heat packs at night. I was wondering when will I be able to lock my knees and actually run, and could it be anything else besides a contusion? Please I want to go back to football ASAP but I won't go until I'm 100%. BTW I'm 13 19 hours ago - 3 days left to answer.

A: That really sounds like an acl tear you might want to get an MRI just to make sure its not. You can really injure yourself more if you dont take car of it.
