Q: It's not bad at all...not too deep so I figured I didn't need stitches. But I got my snagging my arm on a very rusty sharp fence, and then pulling it away resulting in the cut being long. A: You should have gone to the ER. If it was a rusty fence, you could have blood poisoning, or you could get tetanus (lockjaw), which is quite serious in itself. You should have gone right away when it happened to get the tetanus shot. Go now, and get it. You can call the doctor, and they will let you in right away, usually. good luck! Until then, clean it with rubbing alcohol.
